ASHRAE COLUMBUS SCHOLARSHIPS

The Columbus Chapter will award one (1) non-renewable $1,500 scholarship annually to a qualified high school senior student and ne (1) non-renewable $1,500 scholarship annually to a qualified college student who demonstrate an interest in pursuing a career in Engineering. Eligible entries for the current available scholarship to be awarded must be submitted by 4/30/2018. Scholarship to be awarded on 5/28/2018. 

 

CRITERIA FOR APPLICANTS:

1. Current enrollment in an Engineering or Engineering Technology curriculum accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) or other accrediting agency recognized by ASHRAE.  Students pursuing an associate degree in Engineering Technology need not be enrolled in an ABET accredited program, but must be pursuing a course of study, which traditionally has been a preparatory curriculum for a career in HVAC&R.

or

1. Current senior grade level enrollment in High School.

2. Current service or plans to serve the HVAC&R profession.

3. Need for financial assistance.

4. Demonstrated leadership ability.

5. Character attributes.

6. Either currently live in, or plan on attending school within the ASHRAE Columbus Chapter territory. If a student does not meet this requirement, the submitted letter of recommendation must be from a current ASHRAE Columbus Chapter member in good standing.
