Columbus ASHRAE: September Luncheon: Indoor Agricultural Cultivation Design
This month is our first luncheon of the 2025-2026 ASHRAE Year. We have Garrett Greenlee that will be presenting on Indoor Agricultural Cultivation Design

Garrett Greenlee, Founder of Day Arc, is a leader in plant physiology and engineered systems design, driving innovation in the development of cutting-edge indoor cultivation environments. He spearheads the strategic planning and execution necessary to fulfill Day Arc’s mission of delivering the most efficient and precisely controlled indoor growing solutions worldwide.
With over 20 years of experience in the construction industry, Garrett combines his expertise in HVAC, Direct Digital Control (DDC) building controls, and Johnson Controls MetaSys certification to optimize building performance. He is an accomplished inventor with multiple patents and has specialized in the design, construction, and operation of advanced commercial indoor cultivation and processing facilities.
Garrett’s advanced knowledge of LED lighting technology and dedication to high-tech renewable energy solutions, including solar and geothermal systems, underscore his commitment to sustainable innovation. As a founding member of the US Solar Institute in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, he has been at the forefront of the renewable energy movement.
Holding a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University, Garrett applies strong analytical and problem-solving skills to every venture he undertakes.
He resides in Columbus, Ohio, with his wife and enjoys family gatherings with their four daughters and two grandchildren. Always eager to explore new culinary experiences, Garrett frequently experiments with recipes and hosts warm, memorable dinners.
