Tifft Gannon, from Vertiv joins Jay and Rafi on the Columbus ASHRAE podcast.

Tiff shared his career journey and how he has found his footing in leadership.  Starting with mechanical engineering studies at Ohio State and how a chance encounter led to his first job in HVAC sales.

We discussed his transition to product management and his current role at Vertiv focusing on data center thermal management.

Tiff outlined his leadership philosophy, which centers on team member success and empowering young professionals to make independent decisions and learn from calculated risk.

The discussion covered several important topics including effective communication in the workplace, the value of mentorship, and diversity of thought.

We cover the role of ASHRAE in professional development. Tiff emphasized the importance of various communication skills, including phone calls and in-person interactions. He also shared his approach to building diverse teams and creating inclusive environments where everyone feels valued.
