ASHRAE Columbus February Luncheon and Technical Presentation.

Greetings! Please join us for our February 17th Lunch and Technical Presentation. Mark Badgley and Dan Clegg from Johnson Controls will be discussing UL864 requirements for Smoke Control and what this means for the BAS system.
 
Registration will close Wednesday, February 12th at noon. Walk-ins are no longer able to attend luncheons.  If you are planning to attend you must pre-register.  
Mark Badgley, Systems Engineering Manager, Central Territory for Johnson Controls. Mark is responsible for the Central Territory of North America, which includes the Ohio Valley, Great Midwest, Upper Midwest, Heartland, and Mid-South Areas. Mark has been with Johnson Controls for 25 years, after spending 12 years working as a mechanical engineer for (2) consulting firms in Indianapolis. Mark’s current team is made up of more than 100 Systems Engineers across his areas focused on HVAC controls engineering. As part of this role, Mark was a presenter at the Smoke Control: Simplifying a Complex and Critical System Webinar with James Milke, Ph.D., P.E. Professor and Chair, Department of Fire Protection Engineering, at the University of Maryland. Mark Badgley and Dan Clegg have been involved in several Simplex Tru-Alert Meetings discussing UL 864 with building owners, AHJs, and design engineers, as well as serving as Subject Matter Experts for JCI offices around the country.
 
Dan Clegg has been a systems control engineer for Johnson Controls for more than 30 years. In this role, Dan has been responsible for the design and implementation of smoke control systems for prisons, high rise buildings, arenas, and health care facilities. Dan has been a Subject Matter Expert on the topic of smoke control and helped to develop both sales and operations training for JCI employees. Dan’s efforts resulted in him receiving a JCI Merit Award for his dedication to the safety of our customers and development of Johnson Control’s employees.
